Drop it in hot (not boiling) water for about 30 seconds until it softens, then slip it onto your thumb and hold it there for a minute while it cools. It sets permanently to your exact shape. If you ever want to readjust, just repeat the process.

Because the Pling is heat-moulded to fit your thumb exactly, it sits snugly and won't slip during normal playing — including aggressive strumming and fast picking. If it ever feels loose, just re-mould it with hot water.

Rotate your pick down and back so it sits tucked behind the ring holder. Your fingers are then free to fingerpick naturally. To strum again, rotate the pick back into position with your thumb. Most players get this motion down within one practice session.

There's a short adaptation period — usually half an hour to a full session. After that, most players report their technique feels completely natural. Some even find their grip improves because they stop squeezing the pick too tight.

The Pling holds standard guitar picks between 0.46mm and 1.5mm thick — covering most picks on the market including Fender mediums, Dunlop Tortex, and Jazz III style picks. Unusually wide or novelty-shaped picks may not clip in securely.

Plant-based PLA — the same material used in food-grade applications. It's lightweight, smooth-finished, and won't scratch your strings or guitar body. The nano-tech adhesive grip pads hold your pick firmly at any angle.

When the pads lose their tack after heavy use, just wash them under warm soapy water — they refresh completely and are good to go again.

Yes. The Pling is made from plant-based PLA — no nasty plastics. When yours eventually wears out, send it back and we'll grind it down and make new Plings from it. Nothing goes to landfill.
